At Eastview Baptist Church, our beliefs are founded upon the Bible, God’s inspired, infallible, and trustworthy Word. We seek to honor Christ by faithfully teaching and living according to the truths found in Scripture.
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, completely true and without error, and the final authority for faith and life.
God
We believe there is one true and living God who eternally exists in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the grave, and now reigns at the Father’s right hand.
Salvation
We believe all people are sinners in need of God’s grace. Salvation is found only through faith in Jesus Christ and is offered freely to all who repent and trust in Him as Savior and Lord.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit convicts people of sin, brings believers to new life in Christ, guides them in truth, and empowers them for Christian living and service.
The Church
We believe the church is the body of Christ, made up of all believers, and that local churches exist to worship God, proclaim the Gospel, make disciples, and serve others in Christ’s name.
Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
We believe believer’s baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances given by Christ to His church.
The Family
We believe God established the family and that marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman. We believe families are called to honor God and raise future generations according to biblical truth.
Missions
We believe every Christian and every church has been given the responsibility of sharing the Gospel and making disciples throughout the world.
Christ’s Return
We believe Jesus Christ will return again and that God’s eternal purposes will be fully accomplished according to His perfect plan.
Our Statement of Faith
Eastview Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist church and affirms the Baptist Faith and Message (2000) as a summary of biblical doctrine.
